Committees and Descriptions
Events Committee
The EVENTS COMMITTEE helps plan events hosted by the CFPA Boosters including the Back to School Bash, CFPA Banquet, Art Gala and many more!
The EVENTS COORDINATOR manages the organization of all the below responsibilities with the help of the Events Committee.

Responsibilities include:
- Work with school staff/faculty to organize CFPA events including coordinate with the school to reserve an area for events
- Create sign up genius to manage volunteers and/or donations
- Be on-hand during events for necessary tasks such as set up/clean up
- Communicate with Publicity to promote events
Event Descriptions:
- Back to School Bash - our biggest event is held the Saturday before school starts in August. The Events Committee coordinates with concentration teachers and other boosters within the CFPA umbrella to organize the event. They help with entertainment, set up, tear down, volunteer management, sign up geniuses for donations and volunteers.
- CFPA Banquet is held in the spring- this includes coordinating parent volunteers if needed and/or any donated foods or products.
- Annual Art Gala is held in May and celebrates seniors in visual art and creative writing, as well as current students in those concentrations. The events committee supports Mrs. Burns (Art) with the Art Gala by organizing food donations, set-up/clean-up, and managing volunteers.
- CFPA Lock In If event occurs it is usually held in early spring and is a 24 hour play festival. The events committee organizes sign up genius and manages volunteers for the event.
Membership Committee
The Membership Committee Chair manages the below responsibilities with the committee.

- Check CFPA Membership email frequently to note “receipts” of new members
- Update CFPA Membership spreadsheet with all information
- Check payment status on Weebly site to ensure that membership has been paid for
- Communicate frequently with Fundraising Chair to ensure they are noting the new members and making arrangements for pick up of “membership swag”
- Share membership information (number of members and funds raised) at the CFPA Board meetings and at the general membership meeting
Additional supports:
- Create spreadsheets as necessary
- Create videos as necessary to provide information for membership or to support CFPA
- Attend distributions and events to support the CFPA Booster
Fundraising Committee
The Fundraising Committee Chair manages the below responsibilities with the help of the Fundraising Committee.
Responsibilities include:
Responsibilities include:
- Organizing the sale of CFPA spirit-wear/merchandise through our seasonal online webstore and in-person events
- Organize pick-up events and/or delivery of spirit-wear
- Manage inventory/stock of year-round merchandise
- Work with vendor to organize design and production of merchandise
- Coordinate with Board and CFPA Advisors to offer new merchandise through student design contests
- Work with Publicity to promote seasonal stores, merchandise sales, and all fundraising opportunities
- Organize pick-up events and/or delivery of spirit-wear
- Solicit businesses to support events
- Manage event concessions (fundraiser) as necessary
- Research additional opportunities for fundraising
Scholarship Committee
The Scholarship Coordinator manages the below responsibilities with the help of the scholarship committee.

- Work with CFPA Booster Board to attaining resources for scholarships
- Work with Publicity to promote scholarship applications in March
- Based on a provided rubric, review scholarship applications in early April and finalize selections in mid-May
CFPA Executive Board
The CFPA Executive Board includes the President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Publicity. The descriptions and responsibilities of these positions can be found in Article VII, Duties of Officers, in our BYLAWS.
